Public Engagement, Awareness & Advocacy

Goals: Partner with local media and other sources to provide community-wide education and information on the tasks parents and our community must take to insure ALL Norman children age 0-6 are prepared to enter school and have the best opportunties for success.

Another priority is advocacy. Our volunteers believe in improving public policies to support young children and their families.

Initiatives
Born Learning
· Comprehensive parent education materials distributed across the community



Lunch & Learn
· Parent workshops at community businesses
Child Watch Tour
· Education event where members of the community are invited on a tour highlighting how baby brains develop
Public Education Campaign
· Success By 6 message spread at events throught the year in the community, including Groovefest, Literacy Day and Family Fun Day.

Professional Education
· Professional child care providers and members of organizations related to child care and child development are invited to quarterly meetings featuring speakers who are experts on early childhood development
